Has anyone sent their 3rd party lens (Sigma) to be looked at...

Hi All,

I have recently purchased the Sigma 35 1/4 and really like the lens. However I do notice some shots' focus is off (w/the 5D Mark II I use). I called Sigma's Service center and they said I could send it in w/my camera to have it looked at. I have never sent my lens/camera anywhere before and was wondering how many of you have done so and how safe it is to do so.

Any feed backs would be appreciated! Thanks!

Just last week I sent my sigma 35 mm 1.4 (only..withouth the camera) to Sigma Corporation...and turnaround was 5 days.

My problems were similar to yours - inconsisten AF even with AF adjustments.

Sigma simply adjusted AF on lens and honestly the results are now great on both my 5dmkiii and 1dx

Yes i did and after calibration it was spot on.
