Help with 7d Mark II WB

I was wondering if someone who help me clarify the WB temperature setting on my new 7d Mark II.

When i click on the WB button and dial it to color temperature (K). I can't figure out how to change the temperature. If I go directly into the camera menu and select white balance, the top dial can be used to change the temperature.

Why is that? Am I missing something. My old 7d and 5d did not have this problem.

I just checked mine I used the menu then White balance then K and then the top dial changed the temp numbers for me on my 7D Mk2

Yes, that works.

But if you click the WB button on the top of the camera. I cannot change the temp.

I use K quite often, and it gets annoying if I always have to go into the menu. My 5d and my old 7d did not have this problem.

Let me go check...what about access through the quick menu?

Ok mine works exactly like yours I was able to change temp through the quick menu button on the back right
