Logitech to launch Micro 4/3 mount camera(s) for streaming

It looks like Logitech is getting into the ILC camera market and will launch a streaming camera (or cameras) under the MEVO name with a micro four thirds lens mount. The m4/3 power zoom my father used self destructed a few months ago and he’s still complaining about not being able to find new one.
ouch. i wonder who the intended users are. i use a logitech PTZ pro 2 for my video conferencing and i know some folks who use powerzoom video cams for various security applications. i think power zoom+tilt+rotate greatly improves the utility of a fly-by-wire application. however, the DMV folks around here use a kiosk based upon a Canon APS-C DSLR with an 18-55 zoom for driver license pictures.

Key:

- Powered Zoom: Lens zoom controlled via Mevo App gestures/manual sliders.
- Zoom: Manual zoom adjustment directly on the lens.
- Prime: Fixed focal length; no zoom capability.
- FL: Focal Length - distance between the lens and the image sensor when focused.
- Ap.: Aperture - the lens opening that controls the amount of light reaching the sensor.
