Great pictures. I like this one best, beautiful light on its head, catchlight in its eye and the tree’s bark as habitat and background. I would crop out the tiny strip of light on the right.
My favourit are the last with the long shadow of the beak.I like this one best
Yes You are right. I should have done so.I would crop out the tiny strip of light on the right.
On both ## 2 and 3 the female is easily recognizable: #2 as you say "real couple" ("old family"). the #3 should be an old family photo from the honey monthBeautiful series, Noreaster. A real couple on the second one, the female is easily identifiable.
My favorite is the Bewick's Wren! All the branches are screaming "the Spring is here!!!". The Red-winged Blackbird is screaming the same by itself but still has no support from the background (not big deal: the bird knows better!).Hi guys, a few portraits (and one tiny BIF) from the last weekend.
We have a Cedar Waxwing, Say's Phoebe, Bewick's Wren and a Red-winged Blackbird.

Annoying when they do stuff like that!Today when I was totally disappointed this male Northern Cardinal landed in front of me! I wish it didn't land on that yellow chain (plastic?) but it landed there...View attachment 228291
