Show your Bird Portraits

Didn't have the time for something further than the Zoo. Just Night Heron (not in cage, many wild birds are using that territory... ) smartly using shade from the noon sun (just imagine using an umbrella -everyone will see you:D). SMART! The funny thing is that it's looking down in the pool of the big, juicy Charials (Gavialis gangeticus)-no fish is surviving there:ROFLMAO:! On other hand nearly 100% of the visitors are yelling "Alligator" despite the obvious (and easy to see!!!) differences...

Robin photos from December I haven't processed yet.
I like the contrast with the snow. My usual setup:
5D4, 100-400L II + TC, @560 mm, f/8, 1/500, ISO3200
I am really happy that the details are so well even at that ISO level.
You can imagine from the first pic that it was f***ing cold that day (-14°C, 6°F)

Really like the first shot. Pose, colours, detail etc. Very nicely done.

This bird is smarter than many humans. Nice shots, ISv.
