I also shot on a Sony camera this month because 200-600mm plus extender would give me a better reach. So, an April non-Canon photo dump:

But it's there and you saw it. (y)
Was it the bird you've been watching for some time or a different one?
(I cannot tell by the branch ;) )
Same parents. They lost their egg during one of the strong storms when the wind was going 50mph. Now they have this baby (hatched few days ago) on the same tree but different branch.

Now that the weather has changed for the better here in the pnw my wife and I got to get out and do some birding and enjoy some weather. Here's 3 I enjoyed from today. 2 first as well. Shot with the R5 and RF 100-500.

Watching the White Terns: Started relatively early with the same result (baby is shy!). Later on I decided to go to the Zoo to chase the Dragons. When I came back to home - no parent, baby was kind of exposed!!!
If you think this little jerk was collaborating - nope! Shortly after the first series of shots (and it looked at +/-me!) it turned it's already famous back to me... The difference was that this time I had a room to go on the opposite site - just to see that attitude "I'm not going to look at you -never!).

And from the Zoo - just a Peacock. The first photo is classic. The second one is more interesting -if I had the opportunity to get closer I would shoot at that bunch of soft feathers under the tail: a lot of detail and I suspect nobody will know what is it:LOL:. These are from only (for such a big "model"!!!) ~40 meters. I had to crop to reduce the image (plus reducing of course the quality) in order to smuggle it in CR.
