Decided to take out my 5D3 this morning to try my first "little world" photo. I used the Rossonian Hotel here in Five Points as my primary subject. It's hardly perfect, but going through the process will help me improve my future "little world" shots..

Lens? Seems like it must have been a fisheye.... Looks absolutely fantastic, I'd buy that poster.

Yea, looks like it was a fisheye, pointing at an angle towards the ground, swung around the tripod and then stitched together somehow?

Why fisheye? Regular panorama. Very old website (2006 ;D ) http://content.photojojo.com/tutorials/create-your-own-panorama-planets/
There are many panorama software options nowadays that make creating "little planets" even easier...

You're welcome. I want to get into the 'little planet'-world a bit as well, therefore I had it handy. I don't know much about appropriate software though. Maybe hugin?

http://hugin.sourceforge.net/

There's a link to the hugin-pano-gallery as well, some nice examples....

Any other suggestions? justsomedude, what did you use? I think you should've gotten some karma for posting this planet :D
