..all Canon's major competitors announced a new "bridge" superzoom cam in 2011
The SX30IS is 1 year old.

It seems this small "pocket P&S" are a bit overrated in a way that "you" need 1000 models
of any kind, size and colours.

How big is the chance to see a new "bridge sz cam" within 2011?

maybe so
perhaps no DSLR from anyone until early 2012 then
still have yet to a single even slightly reasonable leak yet and it's awfully late in the game for the usual Aug/Sept announcements to have nothing yet so maybe 2012 it is for both camps (or an unusual late 2011 announcement).
