What will a 5DMK3 with a 24-70L kit lens cost? (guesses)

Ok, so obviously this thread is making a few guesses but let's pretend that the new Mark 5 comes out and the new 24-70L is its kit lens. What do you think it will cost?

- speculation on the 5D-X (or MKIII) new price settings by Canon: 3000 euro
I would say the kit goes around 5200 euro
So probably 5200 US dollar (1:1 conversion)

No. There is no solid info on a 5D3, and there has been rumors of it for 2+ years. Which lens it will have as a kit lens is speculation on top of speculation, or people just really wanting it.

Kit lenses are rarely the best newest lens Canon has introduced. My guess is if the 5D3 is offered as a kit, it will include the 24-105mm f4 IS as it's kit lens. (I'm not saying this is what I hope happens, just what I think will happen)

I guess it makes sense in the UK ... but in the US, thats over a $2k difference.

Here's hoping Canon don't raise prices before they become readily available

Best guess: lens - $2300 plus body $3600 less kit discount $300 = $5600

And I won't be buying it. In fact feeling very fortunate to score a MkII body for under $2K with $600 of bundled software that I actually use. Best street price for the software is probably only about $300, but that means I'm right under $1700 for a new MkII body with full warranty.

Why $3600 for the MkIII body? Based on the new 24-70 pricing and the rationale that Canon is refusing to eat the currency exchange any longer but still brings it to the US cheaper than the EU. My guess is that if I'm wrong it will actually be higher than $3600.
