I've received word that Canon Canada has received more stock of the Rebel XS and is allocating the camera to dealers.
No discontinuation for the moment.

This is a typical example of “rumors” you should NEVER have posted.
First take a minute to have feedbacks from other sources and only then, post that something may be discontinued.
Here you did 2 posts (one to say it could be discontinued and one to say it is not), for NOTHING.
Do not complain if with such poor rumors, people start making poor comments.
