Tough crowd!
Canon is not letting anyone do anything with the camera. Samples and everything are being pulled down all over the web.
Part of why I posted this is because of this iron fist Canon has on testers. If the camera turns out trouble free, then we'll all be happy.
Keep checking back to his site to see the indepth review of the camera. I was just pointing out a guy that has done some good write ups in the past and is a good contributor to Canon Rumors.
Even Mr. Laforet isn't allowed to release much.
First Impressions
A new preview/review is up for the 1D Mark IV. This is very preliminary. I'm sure the final review will be coming closer to the time of release.

What’s the point of this review? How can you review a camera without looking at images or video? It’s like writing a preliminary restaurant review by just looking at the food.
Still waiting for a real review.
I was about to say the same thing, what good is giving someone a camera to test, and then saying you can’t look at the results?
Am I the only one getting the impression canon got a bit tight lipped about the camera’s image quality as soon as comparisons between it and the d3s came up?
Not that I’m attacking canon, just wondering how much they plan to improve/change from prototype to production.
I’m wondering if Canon is considering making some changes before the actual release. Perhaps they felt pushed to announce it early than they wanted because of Nikon’s announcement. Hopefully they want to add a couple features.
It seems a bit dumb to write a first impression review based only on what he has seen on the 3″LCD screen. How difficult would it have been to check a few images first on a computer monitor before writing a review like this? Sure, on the LCD screen of my 7D the ISO 6400 images look great too! But viewing 100% on my computer monitor it really isn’t all that great.
Therefore, I feel that this review is worthless and does not add anything new or useful to the existing reviews / previews.
I’ve got one on order, I don’t expect them to ship until after Christmas. however, I have no intention of buying one if there are no reviews and images to view. Something is strange here, it sounds like the sensor is still under development and, I hope the final one will be better yet.
