Tough crowd!
Canon is not letting anyone do anything with the camera. Samples and everything are being pulled down all over the web.
Part of why I posted this is because of this iron fist Canon has on testers. If the camera turns out trouble free, then we'll all be happy.
Keep checking back to his site to see the indepth review of the camera. I was just pointing out a guy that has done some good write ups in the past and is a good contributor to Canon Rumors.
Even Mr. Laforet isn't allowed to release much.
First Impressions
A new preview/review is up for the 1D Mark IV. This is very preliminary. I'm sure the final review will be coming closer to the time of release.

I also think that Canon just wanted to keep another option in people’s minds when deciding on the D3s. Hopefully the final Canon product will have the remaining 7D features of extra buttons on movie recording and I would also love to see the electronic level show up as well. My fingers are really crossed that Canon will put out this killer camera and I’m just waiting another month or two before I place my order.

Nice comparison :) Powershots are cheaper so they deserve more buttons…
I find the lack of controls on the 1DmkIV pretty much surprising, I was ready to the “disappointment” of the 1.3 crop (for me only anyway, I’m not criticizing the choice which I understand), but I felt a bit surprised by the unchanged control layout. I think it’s not so bad generally, you can configure a button for the video too, but if there was a single button more for a custom function, or quick menu, what damage could it make?

I want to point out that it was good for canon to keep the same existing controls, just adding a few more wouldn’t have broken the system
