Model ID's are from http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca.

I'm literally pulled over other side of the road making this post. I haven't had time to check this info out. Have at her.

Isn't USB internet great? The iPad would have actually been handy right now. :)

thanks ARM

  1. If one of the best wedding photographers in the world (Ascough) can use 5d II what is it about it that makes you not be able to use it for weddings?

  2. Doesn’t matter whether people use 45 points are not. as per canon, 1D autofocus is pro autofocus.

  3. well, if 5D mark had 45 point AF, 8fps, pro build, full weathersealed, 9 step AEB, af point linked spot metering and sold it for $2500, how many would pay 5K for 1D series ?

    Canon marketing was right.

  4. Personally I think it would be naive to believe that these two camera IDs were anything other than 60D, 1DsIV, or 550D, since we’ll probably hear about all of them from Canon before Photokina.

  5. If Canon are planning to launch new DSLRs next month, where are the leaks?

You all know what I mean, those hard-to-make out photos on some pro’s (sorry, “Explorer of light”) blog hinting that they are testing out a new camera/lens and can’t tell you anything more… The pictures of various parts of camera anatomy to be picked apart, magnified, subjected to colour reversal etc. etc. on sites like this one. All carefully managed by Canon’s marketing department, of course!

But as the CR guy says, “all quiet”. Maybe this is just a low key launch, maybe Canon have decided to play this one close to their chests. Maybe I’m totally wrong and it will all “start” on Monday!
