  1. How true! The ultimate incentive for Canon to make what customers want is for customers to not upgrade the equipment and continue to use what they own. That’s what I’m doing.

  2. I think people are just hoping for a digital version of the EOS 3, which was a killer camera, it had the AF sensor from the 1v, took the same motor drive with a slightly slower frame rate, and in most respects had pro build quality.

    I heard someone say that it didn’t affected 1v, but that’s hard to say, the EOS 3 came out over a year before the 1v. But even in the EOS 3 the VF wasn’t 100%, and a few other pro features were also dropped.

    I think you’ll see a 5DII replacement before they seriously reincarnate that beast.

    Pretty sure the 5d’s were squarely targeted AT the wedding market.

    But then again there are wedding shooters that like to shoot a bit more canded/photo journalist style then the 5dII is ideal for…
