Seems to be there, sort of, in the form of 4K footage frame grabbing. Of course, 8Mpix JPEG only... But the real burst mode (10fps without Servo AF) is likely throughput limited.
It looks like you may be able to preorder the brand new Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art series lens tomorrow if the latest rumors are true.

Nokishita reports that preorders start February 23, 2018 and the lens will begin shipping on March 9, 2018 at a price of 164,700yen (including taxes). If I had to guess using the usual yen to USD ratio, that would put the new Sigma at about <del>$1399</del> $1299 USD.

In case you missed it, check out the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art series lens here.

"It weighs 59.5 pounds, and is 10 inches wide and tall and 24 inches long."
At 800mm and f/4, the front element needs to be at least 20cm in diameter, put that into a box and you get that 10" figure.
So this broadcast lens should cost $60,000 in my estimation.
aceflibble said:No official pricing yet, but a 'standard' Samsung SSD at 4TB costs around £1,000/$1,400. So I'd expect somewhere between what, eight to ten grand for a single 30TB drive? The previous 15tb drive they put out was priced at around $10,000, IIRC. I doubt they'd go over that as consistently launching at the 10k mark will help retain customers.
The most important part, as far as I'm concerned, is definitely the durability. It's been the drawback to SSD all along—still is right now—but if both the write lifespan and the physical durability have been improved this much, we can finally start looking at SSDs for long-term storage. If they can take this performance and scale it down to 2-4TB, that's it, mechanical drives are done.
Definetely. Owning both the Milvus is a keeper. Wherever a quick reaction is not needed but manual focusing - like in studio environments I will definitely use the Milvus - not the Canon. The Milvus Lenses are high precision tools. I dod had my special experience shooting with the 35mm f1.4... That was amazing.....Cory said:Would the Milvus possibly make sense (portraits, stage, etc.)?

Do you recall what you paid for it back then and what memory prices were like?
Back in 2001 my family had a Sony Mavica camera MVC-CD300, it was 3.3MP and recorded to mini CDs. So the memory was fairly cheap. The camera itself was $1,000 though.

Sorry, my mistake, I forget the cameras even have that half baked AI focus thing, saw AI and just automatically put Servo on the end, a case of reading what I wanted to see and not what was there!
Cheers, Graham.
