The sky is blue. Gravity exists. Did you have a point, other than stating the obvious? I don’t see that Richard implied anything different, he went so far as to put ‘application’ in the title of the post.A "Patent Application" does not imply that a patent was issued.
That's an interesting lens! Too bad I can't seem to be able to learn how to handle Nikon bodies. Sony for me is disqualified for life for way too sneaky business practices, like shopping malware on music CDs as a copy protection measure. There’s a Tamron 35-150/2-2.8 for Sony and Nikon mirrorless. There’s also an older Tamron 35-150/2.8-4 in EF mount, but that may not be fast enough for you.
If you have time to process RAW images, DxO PL can gain you a stop more of usable ISO.
More likely: "The legal fees for fighting the case make it financially not worthwhile even if we win".That's a really weird on-the-record response from a company. I read their response as "We're 99% sure Canon will find out we've illegally copied their IP."
bothCan this innovation mean
1) only more speed (improved FPS, rolling shutter etc.),
2) only more image quality (16 bit RAW files at a decent speed) or
3) both?
Thanks.
Sony is claiming #1 in full-frame mirrorless.Maybe the mirrorless data aren't so clear after all.
Anyways, the whole thing is pointless chest-thumping. There are two leading brands with Nikon a solid third. Choice is good.![]()
Sony Disputes Canon's 'Number One Mirrorless Brand in 2023' Claim
Sony also doesn't think any of this matters.petapixel.com
If true, this rumor will make you happyWasn't it supposed to be R5M2 now?
Although that being said in reality usually the flagship is first and then the lower models. Because there always exist a slight chance of cannibalizing some of the sales of the Big Brother.
Still kind of feel cheated because I've always believed that now in February the Japanese guys will come out with R5m2.
At least they linked the source, but that’s either intentional clickbait or egregious sloppiness.Leave it there - it shows how not to trust some sites.
Order placed today. Lens shipped today, UPS says I’ll have it Wednesday.Damn you.I think I need to order one.
I didn't have enough time to thoroughly check for differences, in fact, I didn't notice any. Maybe by testing under absolutely identical conditions one could perceive some slight advantages for the R3 ???How would you describe the difference between the R5 and the R3 EVF?
Relative to what? The first year CIPA broke out mirrorless was 2012, and that year there were just under 4 million units shipped. Shipments dropped to ~3 million per year, then rose to 4.2-4.3 million in 2017-2018 before falling again. It took until last year to top that 2018 peak.
Overall, MILC market share has been improving for several years. But MILC unit sales have been essentially flat (on average) since CIPA started tracking them, while DSLR sales plummeted. Note that while unit sales for MILCs has been flat, unit value has been steadily increasing.
It’s too soon to say if the jump to nearly 5 million units in 2023 is an outlier.
I believe he started using the 5Diii, so around 2013.Don McCullin - yeah, I guess most war photographers are traumatized after a while. Doing landscape is a good remedy. I don't know when he went digital, but e.g. Canon's original 5D was a very attractive offer in the small field of FF digital cameras back then.
Using an AD200 with remote head (on top of the X2T) brings three times the power of the V1(pro) with at least half weight in hand, and with much better balance compared to a top heavy speedlight; after trying for the first time, I would never ever go back to have a full sized strobe on camera, especially for an entire wedding. 600g on top of a camera puts too much strain on the body at the end of the day.I got mine yesterday, and here are the "in-hand" specs:
Without battery and w/o SU-1: 472g
Without battery + SU-1: 492g
With battery and w/o SU-1: 592g
With battery + SU-1: 612g
The SU-1 is actually quite handy, basically acting as an electronic, adjustable bounce card. I emailed Godox to see what the watt-seconds are, as it's not listed in manual, but I'd say it's equivalent to a pop-up flash on consumer grade cameras. Has more power than I was expecting!
For clarity, I never said that... I was listing the recent posts from @tvexecutiveNobody official has ever said that, not even kind of.
