Interestingly it’s one of the ways to get the RP to shoot with full electronic shutter, and so totally silent, but I think it’s shooting in 12 bit in this mode, although I can’t find any information that confirms this. The context was that the RP, an even lower priced body than the EOS R, and based on an older sensor, had focus bracketing activated!

Many thanks for answering the question. It does... I do it all the time...
Or perhaps IBC in september?Hello @Canon Rumors Guy,
Still no Canon Cinema news? Maybe something for NAB NYC in October?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to respond! The EL-5 is slightly larger (wider, mainly) than the 600EX-RT. Makes sense, they have the same max light output (GN 60), though the recycle time of the EL-5 is blazing fast by comparison. Even the included cold shoe / stand of the EL-5 is bigger. More comparison info from when I first received it here and here.

Sony cameras are almost always well specced. That's why reviewers and influencers who have the camera for a day or less love them. All they really know is the spec numbers. And the cameras almost always under-perform, in my opinion. The Sony EVFs, for example, have the highest resolution, and yet every reviewer I have seen who compared the Sony A1 with the Nikon Z9, commented on how the Nikon was brighter and clearer. Cheaper glass in the Sony, they speculated. Users on FB groups also mention the duller EVFs in comparison to other brands, and that was certainly the case with the A7 II which I briefly owned. Lots of folks on FB also commenting on torn shutters at around 100k shots or less. Great specs don't always equal great performance. It looks like the first big announcement heading into the always busy Q4 will come from Sony on August 29, 2023 with the likely arrival of the alpha A7c II and the alpha A7cR. The likely specifications for each camera have been around for a while, and both look to be well specced offerings.
The EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS was not an L lens.If the Lenses
would be "L" - category - it would be "The DREAM - Couple" with my fantastic EOS R7. (They would give the Range 24-112 compared to full-frame). At the moment I use my EOS R7 with EF-S 17-55 f:2,8 but this is more heavy and big because of the needed adaptor. Or with RF 14-35 f4 "L" which is too short at the 35 End but feels like a Dream-Combination" in the hands.
Have you compared the RF 14-35/4 output at 14mm to the EF 11-24/4 at 14mm? I have, and despite the horrendous barrel distortion of the RF 14-35 vs the nearly zero barrel distortion of the EF 11-24 at 14mm (better rectilinear correction and not at the end of its zoom range), the sharpness in the extreme corners is essentially indistinguishable.I hope that the RF version is as rectilinear corrected as the current EF version. Looking at the recent horrendous barrel distortion on the RF 14-35 f4 and the RF 15-35...I'm not too hopeful.
No Canon MILC has cross-type AF points. DPR is as reliable as ever.Certainly according to DPreview's page on the R6ii:

Canon EOS R6 Mark II in-depth review
The EOS R6 II arrives in one of the most competitive parts of the market, facing off against some very capable competition. We think it rises to the challenge.www.dpreview.com
It's possibly a "cut and paste" error from the Oly OM-1, because i've not seen those specific specs applied to the R6ii on any other spec list.
Me Too!Oh. I never held it. But I like this look...
Just because you set 40 fps doesn’t mean you’ll get 40 fps. With a 0.5 s exposure, you’ll only get 2 fps at most. There are other caveats for max frame rate (battery charge level, not too narrow an aperture or too high an ISO, etc.)..5 sec? I dont understand that comment..
