I don't get why there's no way to turn on the RAW burst quickly. You always have to go to the menu. Even if you program a button for it, it'll just show the menu. And it's not possible to set it as custom mode C1-C3...

Do they need an R1-class camera for adequate lens testing ?

BTW, I now have the GF 20–35mm lens. It is exceptional. I can’t think of a use for the excellent EF 16–35mm on either camera any more, but am not inclined to sell it just yet. The EF 100–400mm works great on both bodies and will serve my telephoto needs for the foreseeable future. I can crop out corners manually, or I can use the 35mm mode on the 100S for the same format but more pixels. On a photo excursion I could see using both bodies with the telephoto left on the Canon.

I've admitted defeat; there is no way to get a clean SDI out and see OSD simultaneously on the Canon display or the HDMI out. So, C200 users, how are you connecting to your SDI switcher? I've got a Black Magic mini converter gaffe taped to my tripods to convert the clean-out from the HDMI to SDI. This seems so wrong and really grinds my gears. Is there a better option?

I am also in the business of shooting junior ice hockey since my dear grandson is playing it. I started shooting it many years ago with EOS 5D MKIV, the results were good. In 2020 I switched to R5 and I am using it regularly now. I dont have experience on R6 II but personally I am not missing anything while using my R5. The speed on 20 fps is quite fast enough believe me. And on account on R5:s higher MP You can do heavy cropping. So my opinion is; choose R5.

Thanks for pointing that out. I updated from 1.5.2 to 1.7.0 and it's resolved.

Already had added thread and whats odd is Sigma never made their 18-50mm f2.8 for EF-M mount nor for Z mount(yet).

Nikon Z is getting support of Sigma with new DC DN lenses for its Crop sensor bodies.

I just recently bought a used RP specifically so I can use the RF16mm
It will be fine until canon releases a RF pancake.

Thank you for the feedback. Honestly, I likely will pass on the lens since I already own the Canon RF 28-70 mm f2 which is much more flexible. Moreover, if the rumored retail price of $1800 is correct that is very close to the Canon 50 mm f1.2 which adds AF.

I posted about my attempt at 400MP shooting on a GFX group on Facebook. I got a response from a guy who regularly does huge landscapes. He posted a link to an amazing huge picture. He said that the combining software doesn’t like f/11. At macro distance things are probably worse.

As for size, I needed the EG-E1 on my RP with larger lenses. So if you get a chance to handle an RP, try it with the mini grip if possible.

I get asked a lot about why I use Canon gear, and why I won't use Nikon...
Of course it's often framed as a choice between brands - but really it's about the lenses and what I use them for...
If anyone knows my work, I use and test a lot of tilt/shift lenses - that should be a big hint...

Anyway after another 'Why won't you use Nikon' question - I've a somewhat longer answer, going back to 2003 and when Nikon were saying that you don't need 'full frame'

Yes, the "large aperture single -lens reflex lens could be for Pentax or Nikon's DSLRs.

I say permanently, but I picked up both 50/1.8 & 16mm. Doubt I’ll buy more. Still cave my M stuff along with DSLR’s Aps-C & H plus’s of course Full Frane too. My EF can be adapted to all, whereas RF cannot. There lies my reasoning….for the time being.

Depressing is correct word. Same here, i assumed Sigma and Tamron would be a (native) option. Never could have dreamed Canon would do this. It makes me salty. Im not ready to "jump ship" as that takes effort to sell everything but Canon made me an unwilling customer. 4000 per zoom down under, they are dreaming.
