Thanks, Love your Kestrels!I'd be happy too, they look great!
It's a Rose-ringed Parakeet. We now get them even in the UK, probably escapees that seem to thrive. What is the green bird with the magentas beak?
Great shot! And very brave bird: I wouldn't touch that branch (or what ever it is). Never!R7 + 800 f/11 w/ 31mm extension tube. ISO 6400 @ 1/100 s, 100% crop. Dark day.

Thanks. That's a gooseberry bush and the hummers seem to be unbothered by the thorns as they hang out in them all the time.Great shot! And very brave bird: I wouldn't touch that branch (or what ever it is). Never!
How much closer does the extension tube make the mfd?R7 + 800 f/11 w/ 31mm extension tube. ISO 6400 @ 1/100 s, 100% crop. Dark day.

I haven't measured it precisely, but I gained about 4 ft, so 19 to 15 ft and at 31mm, the far focus limit is around 50 ft so it works well for my hummingbird fetish. Still looking forward to the 200-800.How much closer does the extension tube make the mfd?
Looking forward to it!Not great but now that I found them back tomorrow for hopefullyView attachment 213691 better results.
