Just a couple of test shots I just did to see the new to canon in camera lens aberration correction. Shot wide open in almost darkness (JPEG in camera NR off) with my 50mm 1.2. The nice thing is that there is the option to enable peripheral illumination (which is what I was turning on and off here) as well as a separate toggle for chromatic aberration (no fringing in this sample, so I left it on in both, but I can tell you it makes a really big difference in the daylight, especially with a 1.2 lens). I actually really like the vignette in the 50 1.2, I think it adds a lot of lens character and uniqueness but I think its pretty damn cool that I can just "turn it off" if I want a non vignetted f1.2 image. I also really like that I have independent control over CA and vignette, so I can always leave CA on and turn on and off vignette as I like....
