Vern, exactly. You can't push your luck. I also have a very patient gear caddy. I try to get her more interested in taking pictures herself but she just defaults to watching me.

As far as composition of less than striking shots I'm pretty challenged but at least I now try to think about it.

the mountains tripod mounted with 70-300L; the bicycle hand held with 24-70II. All downsized for posting.

Great camera - much maligned by many but works for me. The Mountain image is printed 24*36" hanging in an office and looks terrific.

inspiring shot, LarsC - I have neglected using the tilt capabilities on my 24 TS lately (mostly b/c my wife is with me on day hikes and she is already running out of patience as I compose) and this shot convinces me I should try.

All Germans are angry all the time. At least that is what I have heard.

This is also an HDR processed photo (7 auto bracketed exposures in Aurora 2018).

Thank you. It definitely takes a little bit longer but this lens produces a high percentage of interesting keeper photos.
