Cheers clickGreat shot, Aussie shooter.
Lovely shot.I applied a pretty ambitious crop on this image, but I think it holds up ok for web viewing. In the moment I was not able to reduce the ISO, but at least there is absolutely no motion blur with a shutter speed of 1/4000.

I completely understand your point: if there is nothing else worth for endorsement the position of the wings is important - I shouldn't posting such a crap but there was nothing else that day .Very nice series, ISv. Between the second and the third, I prefer the last one for the position of the bird's wings.

Thanks for the comment anyway!
Thank you, Click! That's a very nice shot. Well done, Cog.
Really nice. #2 is my fave - maybe because of the wing positionThese are from Saturday. Didn't see the targeted birds and on top of this all seabirds where flying on a distance not optimal for 500mm lens. In some wind/ocean conditions they may pass at just 10 meters away on that place (not that day ~2h waiting).

I'm not a fisherman, so like your cormorant
Not in flight, but one photo from years ago that came to my mind. Could have been better though with the glow.... the perfect cormorant pic is, when you can get the sun into their eyes and make them glow. ...
Here's a Cormorant from this month, banking so I got part of the upper wing (R5 + 100-500)I'm not a fisherman, so like your cormorant
I've learned from a birder, that the perfect cormorant pic is, when you can get the sun into their eyes and make them glow. So yours close to it, but has room for slight improvement
