Canon 500 and 600 II?

I have saved and sold my 500 AFIS original version. I leave for Africa in mid-July. I am awaiting the arrival of the new 500 and 600 lenses and I will purchase one of the two. I am beginning to panic as both seem to be delayed again as is the 1D-X which I also have on order. Any thoughts or rumors?

Last I heard, May was the expected availability date. I'd recommend not holding your breath, though...
