Possibly clearing stock ready for an impending replacement announcement?!

The Yen took a bit of a drop two weeks ago, so some of the lower prices we've seen recently may be due (at least in part) to that.

I don't think price variations are significant of any announcement.
On your side, you see the price going down. Actually you have Canon stuff at a really good price right now in Europe and especially in US!
Here in Japan we don't have this chance. The kit 5DmII + 24-105mm is at its regular price, and even more expensive than last october when I bought mine (today is 318.000 yens / 2890 euros / 4157 USD versus 295.500 yens / 2686 euros / 3863 USD last year).

We can say the same for all the lenses and other bodies actually. :'(
