<p>What was the <a href="http://www.canonrumors.com/2014/04/canon-hong-kong-announcement-april-24-2014/" target="_blank">teaser from the other day on the Canon Hong Kong Facebook page</a> for? They announced the PowerShot G1 X II, which was already announced every place else a long while ago. Yet again, a regional announcement is of little interest.</p>

Everything I've seen published about this camera so far says it's mediocre, overpriced, and it's bested by competitors at every turn.

Too bad; I had good hopes for this.

Hi all, I am a Canon fans from Hong Kong, and I think the picture attached is is not an announcement for G1X2 since the G1X2 is already announced on 25 March in Hong Kong and I already took G1X2 back to home on 27 March ^^ , we can find the announcement of G1X2 in the following Canon (HK) webpage

Anyway, the picture dated Apr 24 maybe related to some promotion event, promotion webpage or promotional video new to G1X2 in hong kong website, I can found a dedicated promotion page with Flash animation effect yesterday in Canon (HK) website, but it seem to be disappeared today.

FD mount would be too bold a move! No way that makes it onto the 5D4. Marketing is holding that back for the 5D5.

Actually it's just the teaser for the local G1X-II TVCM unveiled online on April 24, nothing else
