Finally got some good weather and took some extended time with the new 100-400mm. Not much going on but I did get a couple of nice shots of a White-breasted Nuthatch. The R6MII and the 100-400mm are a decent combo for hiking, fairly light weight.
It is warm/hot here only under direct sun-light (otherwise very windy and unusually cool/wet for the season wind - drizzling to rainy). Despite of that the birds are taking occasional bath - like this White eye and immediately going back to the feeding grounds. Others like that Yellow-faced Canary are not that eager to take a bath
It may not look like much, but it is a relative rarity here:
