After that much color - almost black and white (just to make some difference). Baby Blue-billed White Tern from yesterday.

A very colourful bird. I like the pose and composition. But is the photo a little overexposed?Male Crowned Woodnymph seen while birding at the Avistamiento de Aves Doña Dora, Colombia, November, 2025.

Thanks! These were all R5 MK II w/the RF600 f/4L IS + 1.4x. Tried doing everything handheld this last year, mostly successful, except for long periods of watching a GHO nest.Beautiful series of photos! What equipment are you using?
Thank you! We did get lucky having a Mandarin pair come in this year and stay at a local campground/fishing park. Hoping for ducklings this year even if they are 'invasive'.Wow, every photo is great.
I especially like the colourful photo of the Mandarin Duck and the Northern Shoveler with the waterdrops flying around. Awesome.

Thanks for commenting. It's not overexposed, the colors really pop when the light hits the feathers just right. However, the jpeg compression has really messed with the quality of the image. I'm traveling at the moment but will upload a higher resolution file once I return.A very colourful bird. I like the pose and composition. But is the photo a little overexposed?
Thanks. That's a great combination. Unfortunately, I find it difficult to impossible to travel by air with the 600mm f/4, so I don't use it as often as I'd like. Thanks!
