Wow, every photo is great.
I especially like the colourful photo of the Mandarin Duck and the Northern Shoveler with the waterdrops flying around. Awesome.

Thank you! We did get lucky having a Mandarin pair come in this year and stay at a local campground/fishing park. Hoping for ducklings this year even if they are 'invasive'.

A very colourful bird. I like the pose and composition. But is the photo a little overexposed?
Thanks for commenting. It's not overexposed, the colors really pop when the light hits the feathers just right. However, the jpeg compression has really messed with the quality of the image. I'm traveling at the moment but will upload a higher resolution file once I return.

ERHP and Foda: some excellent to great shots as usually!
Shire_guy: two birds that I still have to see in real and I really like the Godwit photo!

Today it was again bad day for birds for me. When I was thinking "no bird photo today" this Wandering Tatler landed ~20-30 meters away. It was walking very strangely it's way on the sand and I took my time to go (behind the vegetation, they are pretty shy) further in it's path, waiting ambush stile with hope it will come - and it did... I have no idea what can amputate it's almost entire tarsus! If it happen here, on Oahu, my rather crazy hypothesis is an encounter with a large Samoan crab: they are able to do it! Otherwise - no idea!
