Show your Bird Portraits

I really like your shots, docsmith. Especially the first one with the snow.

Couple of shots this morning in bright light showing the softness of the 2xTC at 1600mm. The Skylark was a about 20m away when taken at 800mm (top) and about 25-30m at 1600mm. The bird is about 1600 px long at 800mm and this is enough to give sharp detail. The 2xTC is not in the distance window to give more detail and softens what is there.

600mm on the 200-800mm is very sharp and it takes the 2xTC well to give nice sharp detail on this Dunnock at 10m. This close, however, the 100-500 on the R7 is pretty spectacular.

I knew it was a complimentary expression!
Glad to hear it!

I think AlanF did as well....just having some fun. But...internet, you never know.

It is interesting as I googled the definition and there are a number that were negative but I have been using it and seeing it used in a positive way. Like something good enough to take your breath away.
