Show your Bird Portraits

Thanks.

The EXIF data is 15.1m...the Kestrel was on powerline alongside the road. I was leaning out the passenger window firing off bursts as we crept closer, but I would not say we ever were very close as the Kestrel was very skittish.
They are skittish, but off fly just a bit further of way to tease you.

Since the hummingbirds decided all this wet and wind was too unpleasant and left for a while (probably until about mid April), I dug around in the file and found this kind of fun shot with Bokeh of a different sort. Likely the worlds smallest 300mm lens and a good exercise for those who gripe about focus tracking .

M6 mark II w/Rokinon 300mm f/6.3 mirror lens, 1/800, ISO 2000.

Walking around Robinson Preserve near Bradenton, FL

We watched White Pelecan's coming in to land.

Then spotted what I think is a juvenile Black-Crowned Night Heron

Edit: yellow crowned night heron.
