  1. Silly poster… Perhaps you should try a little old thing called R-E-A-D-I-N-G. Perhaps then you will see that I did not disparage video, simply say that I didn’t know enough about it to comment on the specs listed by a previous poster. As a photographer making a decent enough living I have to remind you people that their are those out their who use pro cameras who don’t shoot news. I shoot portrats, weddings, events and sports. Do I regret the addition of video to the cameras? Of course not. Might I play with it? Sure, why not. Do I need it? Not a bit. Not yet at least. Medium format cameras are great for studio and landscape shooters, but not good for others. You guys gotta get off your little judgemental high horses and realize that different buisness models allow for different camera requirements and that a GOOD photographer can still make a living shooting stills.

  2. Personally I’d love a pro 1.6 body in addition to FF to make my 400 2.8 into a 640 2.8 – teleconverters suck, so does relying on post cropping. 1.3 is useless, not enough of a magnification on the tele end and too much magnification on the wide end.

  3. From high on my horse, or maybe just high…I judge and declare the era of still photography dead and over!

    So there.

Don’t mind me. I’m an image making whore who does not care if my clients want still or motion or what format (position)it ends up in.

    lol

  4. personally I prefer the 1.3x when using super-tele’s because it does a better job of preserving the bokeh, though I do understand the need of a longer crop for wildlife, etc…
