Time off
I'll be off to Ireland on Friday, I'll be tied up travelling on Christmas Day and sleeping off the jet lag on the 26th.

Funny thing is, when someone even mentions the video on the D3s, they never discuss that the 720 res video is only 5 minutes long! Canon’s 1080 is almost 30 minutes. That’s almost like the 4 minutes per roll of Super 8 film I use to get!
BTW: I own D3s and 1D Mk III. IV on order.
What’s up with people comparing the two? Both camera companies make great cameras. Suited for a wide range of photographers. If you don’t like Nikon that’s fine, if you don’t like canon that’s fine also. Just take your cameras out and shoot photos.
it’s because canon needs to learn a lesson and if people keep buying their cameras they will never improve, that’s why the two need to be compared so photographers always get the best tool. If these two were close then there would be no need, but when there is a clear winner by far…then you know one company is being lazy and just not focusing in IQ.
And to all those people who are boasting the video feature of 1d mk iv as the reason that it can hang with the D3s….video doesn’t mean anything, if you want to make videos go out and buy a RED one camera or a real video camera. I am discussing these in terms of stills, videos are out of the equation and just looked at as a bonus feature for casual clips and the 720p serves that purpose well.
