Just shove the old firmware files into a (sub)folder, leaving only the new firmware in the root of the card. At least it works consistently with my R3.IIRC, the camera refuses to do any lens update if it sees a current/old camera firmware on any card. Ironically, you have have as many old lens firmware on the card and it doesn't do anything.
It’s definitely challenging. The charts I use (same ones used by Bryan/TDP) come in several sizes down to 10x18 cm but all with the same resolution when framed correctly. Those smaller charts are the only reason I can test my 600mm with TCs in my house, where my longest sight line is ~20 m.What is additionally interesting is that this very careful and reliable site explains how they coped with the problems from a long focal length. I suspect certain other sites are not as careful in their IMATESTs with supertelephotos, explaining why there is sometimes variation in reported values.
Thank you for this! I'll give them a try!My tripod has spikes and I find that it is more stable on soft undergrounds. With a bit of a push the spikes will go through the soft layer, where rubber pads will just wobble on the soft layer.
The 1DXIII is enough to scare any bird.
Well, Tamron makes a pretty good lens. I still have an Tamron EF 45mm f/2.8. The problem is that in bright sunlight the CA is horrible at f/2.8. To me, that makes it less of a lens.wow, I wonder how this compares to the 10-20 f4...
but there was no mention of a shift, only tilt.
CR Post:
You could then turn any lens you wanted into a tilt lens, and I'm sure the same means could be used for shifting as well.
Or the EF 20-35LIt could be like the EF17-40L, that pretends to be internal zooming, but the front element moves a few mm.
It lists QAM1024, so it should support wifi6, which is a nice surprise.According to Photorumors (link), Canon has registered a fifth new camera: “DS126904: registered 26 April 2024 (Dual Band Wi-Fi 5 & Bluetooth)”.
No additional information is given.

At least two things haven't changed since then: the notion of being good enough for the job and the desire of telemarketers to sell stuff people don't really need.I can understand this mentality looking at the past but things change. Sure when I bought my first DSLR 20 years ago it had a kit lens zoom and I had no idea what f/2.8 was. But I also didn't have a smartphone with 3 lenses and an f/1.8 in my pocket. The smartphones are now advertising low f stop values and have a portait mode to fake even lower f stop values.
But at least one thing has changed: now telemarketers are able to specifically target their victims based on the victim's search and view history.Nowadays if you go on Youtube and look up reviews for cameras (where most beginners are going to start today), pretty much all the reviewers are recommending specifally
I wonder how many people moving from the optically stablized f4.5-6.3 kit lens to these faster lenses without stabilization will notice. I like tripods, but I know I'm not everyone.Well said but Neuro your equipment EOS R3 + 28-70 2.0 is heayvy enough to be a stabilizing force in itself and based on how long you are taking pictures you can probably hold 1/20 of a second with good results.
But somehow I assume that the typical R10 Customer who upgrades from the (stabilized) cheapo kit lens to a 17-50 Tamron would apreciate any aditional VC
Because RF24-105 f/4L has NO focus breathing?I'm too cynical to read "supports focus breathing correction" into that. The RF24-105 f/4L also has everything mentioned in the above screenshot, but lacks focus breathing correction.
