Ef 15mm f/4 will be a good lens for DSLR video, if the rumos is true. Now i use Samyang 14mm, witch is a bit nah... blurry in the corners.

Tried various commercial sites over the years ... but was unhappy with the interaction, generally. So built my own site with help from a couple tech buddies (Me = low-tech

) and am now installing images as I get time. It includes some of my travel work from various places too, which can't happen as easily - or at all - in some sites.

Some images are very old scans of film or slides, some cropped and modified, some direct from camera... I'll add to this content over the next couple months. Pretty minimal at the moment.

It will eventually include photo tips, travel areas where we've been, and some other odd-ball things just to keep it interesting. We focus on wildlife habitat protection, and have several scientists overseeing our content, so we get it right.

FYI: Anyone with a small bit it IT knowledge can build a site - and cost is minimal. Just takes lots of time and patience. Doesn't need to become "fancy", the art and images are what makes it great. M44

Hi there! Newbie here! (Just though I'd better let you know, as I'm feeling my way around the forum!)
Although I love mine, having an AF does interest me. But what would make me more excited is to NOT have a bulbous front end. Oh how I wish I could stick my Lee Filter System on it!!

yes. 1 additional possibility, provided Canon goes with new, short FFD lens mount for FF mirrorless ... something a few people here dislike and dont believe will come. ;D

exactly. from usability point of view any "non-symmetrical connector" is a sub-par design from the very start. USB-C is a step forward .. silver medal. Round/cylindrical connectors ... gold! 8)

Interesting comparison. I travel with my G7X II. I wouldn't want to try to squeeze anything bigger into my pants pocket, so it's good to see that I'm not giving up much of anything meaningful for my purposes by using the cheaper and smaller choice. I've used this camera for 15 or so months, including trips to the Rockies, southern coastal cities, Pittsburgh, Britain, Hawaii, and Southern California. I've been quite pleased with the results. 13" x 19" prints look great. I hope I have shots from Hawaii that will make a nice panorama to print out on roll paper to frame and hang in my front room that has a somewhat islandy décor.

This replaced the S120 that fit in my shirt pocket and zoomed to 120mm equivalent, but has a smaller sensor. The G7X II has enough more pixels to crop a 100mm shot to the S120's 120mm picture size with pixels to spare, so no real loss.

It is still missing in the original file at photolemur.com, as well as Samyang. As Craig mentioned earlier, he obviously added both to the local version at CR.

That is an interesting idea. It wouldn't improve the high ISO performance, but definitely dramatically increase the saturation level of the pixel and, in turn, dynamic range of the pixel output.
An interesting thing would be also to try to remove the color filter from the pixel, so that the upper part of the pixel register the whole spectrum of light and delivers the luminosity information, the fluorescence layer would instead contain specific fluorophore excited only by red, green or blue light with Bayer pattern through the sensor. This way each pixel would deliver overalls luminosity information and specific color information, like normal sensor. But color sensitivity would be probably rather poor...

Still sub-optimal for photography. Sure. But thinking this through, I doubt a 1" sensor will make it into the price range that I am willing to spend on a drone any time soon.

I am not going to pre-order, but I am 95% convinced I'll be buying this drone come April/May.

If I fall in love with it, then maybe I drop bigger money in a couple of years. Sort of like buying an entry level camera to see if you like photography enough to splurge on a FF sensor and a whole bunch of "L" glass.....

Would you care to elaborate? What is the purpose of the stacked sensor, if it isn’t to drop the bayer?

I had a Sigma DP Merrill a few years ago. It had a lot of weaknesses, but resolution was insanely good for a “15 megapixel” camera.

one substrate for photodiodes, the other substrate for processing. same as what is in the A9 from Sony.

Thank you for clarifying! Too bad, but I didn’t have to learn the hard way.

I tried and neither charger nor battery fitted in either of the others. That is the LC-E19 could not charge the LP-E4 batteries and the LC-E4 could not charge the LP-E19 batteries. However the AC Adapter Kit ACK-E4 from the earlier models does fit and work in the 1DX MkII.

I was very surprised by this misinformation from senior Canon personnel, but there are notches on the chargers that prevent the 'wrong' batteries fitting.
