Two New Lenses, Including an RF 85mm f/1.4L VCM Coming September 9

i cannot understand why Canon did not put IBIS on this camera. That was the most obvious thing to do and they left it out! They made a camera with all bells and whistles in a compact size so as a wedding videographer which I'm working now with a c70 and fx3 I could do the move and buy the c50. Ibis is not an option anymore on these compact cameras but a must have for run and gun situations and ease of use!! I'm driving mad about this... they need to fire the ppl that took that stupid decision really! Nikon, Sony, Panasonic have Ibis and Canon for whatever reason they don't... I'm really tired with this company!!

If the C50 has no IBIS as has been rumored that's going to be a huge fail on Canon's part. Guess it will all be clear soon.
Not for filmmakers and cinematographers. Just a normal day. No need to worry about a floating sensor when IBIS is turned off when mounting the device on a vehicle. No need to worry about swiching the IBIS from ON to OFF period. Simple workflow. Need IBIS there are plenty of "B" devices for that.

This EOS Cinema camera is not for those wanting IBIS.
Canon is shifting it's Cinema line away from hybrid. Sony high end Cinema lines do not have IBIS. Filmmakers and cinematographers do not want a floating sensor in their "A" cameras or "B" cameras. And no you cant turn OFF the floating.

Looks great. I'll take two. Wondering what the catch is if this is a sub-4K camera that basically cannibalizes the C80 and maybe even the C400? That's a big price difference for no ND filters. I am so stoked about the CF Express cards, too. I don't really care what the capture medium is at the end of the day, but they're just so much faster than SD cards for offloading media. I've started taking on a lot more hybrid/social work over the last year to make up for how stalled the industry has felt, so this comes at a welcome time.

Louder for those in the back:

CINEMA CAMERAS DO NOT REQUIRE IN-BODY IMAGE STABILISATION

Filmmakers don't want or need it. The camera will be on a tripod, dolly, crane, steadicam, gimbal or some kind of rig that lets the creator control and customise how they want their shot to feel when including camera motion, and any external stabilisation solution will be far more effective than IBIS.

That's your point ok BUT for the size of this camera it should have IBIS for run n gun filmmakers just like the other brands do it and succeed! Canon always bring the cripple hammer in the game no matter what... I don't like it and I won't live with it... period! If you are ok with it then it's your problem..!
