You guys think the prices are high
In Australia they are $5699au or converted $4300us
I won't be upgrading for a while :'(

Warrick

That's low compared to Europe

£3599 = $4750
€4065 = $4593
It still is much more expensive than adding VAT to the US price.

From what I understand they may or may not have to add sales tax, depending on where they live and which state they buy from. What ever way you look at it $3499us is in a difference ball park to what we are exspected to pay in UK $4750us or OZ $4300us

I am not paying that much. As I said in a previous post I will wait. In addition, if there is any bug it will be revealed and fixed.

Re: New Canon Gear Preorders Are Live

Dang, the 5D3 was 25.000DKK at launch. Even today the retail price is still 22.000DKK (internet shops sell it for 21.500DKK)

The 5D4 is 31.850DKK, which is more than the 5DsR (31.000DKK)
The step to the 1Dx2 seems small suddenly (49.350DKK)

All prices including 25% VAT

I'm weighing up my options but i'm not going to pay though the nose either. I may

- Combine the purchase with a trip to the states
- Buy mail order form B&H in states (still cheaper than buying for UK, after taxes by my calculation)
- Wait 6 months to a year for the price to drop
- Get a 5DS (£600 cheaper at launch)
- Wait for the 6D II
