That's true, but my point was the 5DS dynamic range didn't appear to be hindered by it's high resolution, it was hindered by Canon's sensor design and that despite being Canon's highest resolution option available, it still outperformed the bulk of other Canon sensors released in a similar time frame. You could compare literally any Canon dslr or milc to the D810 and find the same result, the DR limitations don't appear to be truly linked to resolution but rather sensor design.It definitely didn't look bad among 5DIII and 6D. But follow your own link and add Nikon D810 that was released a year before 5DS..
