Well Done Canon - keep up the good work. What a beautiful image. Though I must say that the 4 teleconverter on the right somehow destroy the beautiful symmetry for me :-D
Btw, given that these are only the latest iterations of each lense, this is an pretty impressive portfolio!
Please, don't let my wife find out!
It IS a lot any-which-way. I do wonder though how many back-orders are people placing orders with multiple retailers, waiting to see which one calls them first to say it's in stock...?Craig, is this tweet accurate or hyperbole?
If that's accurate, consider me blown away. That's a lot of lenses.
What I'd like to know is how many L lens and single digit bodies Canon made since 2000.I bet 140,000,000 of those are EF-s 18-55s

They could sell a lot more if they would release a 150/200-600 6.3 for around 1500€! And not this 3000+€ luxury lens...They could sell a lot more if they could catch up to the RF100-500 backlog!
Judging by how the L lenses hold their value on the second hand market, I'd say that they must be a relatively small percentage of that 150,000,000.What I'd like to know is how many L lens and single digit bodies Canon made since 2000.
" Laid end-to-end2, all of the RF and EF lenses Canon has manufactured thus far would measure approximately 7,736 miles in length — nearly equivalent to the Earth’s diameter, which measures approximately 7,917 miles."That's impressive, but I think shooting through so many lens elements would degrade image quality

You could probably just sum up the number of Canon crop bodies sold each year and use that as the number of kit lenses sold. As digging through these sales numbers is apparently one of your favorite things, perhaps you could answer your own question. So say 1%? 1.5 million over the past 3 decades?
