Canon EOS 3D?

Was just watching the f1 1st practice from singapore, and a driver was being interviewed. and a bloke was taking a pic of him, on the camera strap it said EOS 3D, oooh indeed.

Couldnt rewind though as it was on red button.

One of two options is correct (choose any):
- it's a fake strap
- your eye has been mistaken

no strap is produced before camera has been released

why would a pro photographer with access to the pit lane have a fake strap?

I know what i saw, i make a point at looking at the cameras.

The tv camera was about 4 ft from the bloke taking the pic, was on him for 5 or more seconds, im like, that doesnt say 5, its a 3.

How do you know that canon hasnt been making these for the past 2 or 3 weeks ready for an october launch? you dont.

At which point in the F1 race was this?
Can you give me some reference point so I know when in the race it was?
I will see if I can confirm this by finding the video clip on the internetz.

Was the 1st practice session about 5 mins in, the cars werent racing as they were doing track repairs,they were interviewing Romain Grosjean in the pits.

I hope that photographer is being paid to use the branded strap that came with the camera. Even Canon has better straps for a bit of extra cash.

All Canon prototypes are unmarked. Most of them are merely test cameras that will never see production. They cetainly do not create a strap for a test camera which has 1 in 100 chance or less of going into production.

Prototypes are used during various events but they are not allowed to be identified so stop wasting your time
They usually have a CPS strap on them and god knows that way to many have these now that anyone can join the CPS program!
