EOS 7D Mark II Shipping October 30, 2014 Everywhere

<p>We’ve received confirmation from various retailers around the globe that their EOS 7D Mark II inventory is on its way and will be shipping to customers on October 30, 2014. This includes, B&H Photo, Amazon, Adorama and various other retailers I’ve spoken to in Canada, UK and Germany. We’re told by a few retailers that all their preorders will be filled and they’ll have some stock remaining for more purchases on launch day.</p>

Looking forward to the professional reviews of production cameras and the upgrades to RAW for Lightroom. I'm seriously considering this upgrade to my well used 7D but ............. want better low light performance, so we'll see.

This is great news. As of a few days ago chuck stated that they would begin shipping to retailers on the 30th... Meaning that shipments to customers wouldn't begin until several days later.

I'd bet that they start shipping from China earlier. The Chinese stores generally ignore embargos and ship as soon as they get the cameras. This wouldn't happen if Canon did not supply them ahead of the release date.

Getting really excited in getting this camera. Even when I have no use for it. I just want the best AF for my 2 year old son.

Picking up a Canon "L" series lens in couple of days and will pick the 7D Mark II late November, going to wait for the "early-early adopters" review first. ;D

I've looked several times and you are right, not even a third party offering grey market goods. Other preannounced Canon products are available for pre order, but not the 7D2.

I've had emails offering preorder from Calumet, Wex, etc

5D mk3 wasn't available from Amazon UK for a long time after launch as well.

Do you have any indication as to how heavy the pre-ordering was? Is there going to be a shortage of 7DII around the holidays? Just wondering if I need to get it ordered now or if I will still have a little time before spending the money on a Christmas gift.

I believe when they "worded" everywhere will have it, you shouldn't worry.

I was going to grab one next week but I'm going to pick up an "L" series lens instead which cost almost as much as the camera. Plus, I want to see what the reviews for it are from true consumers,plus any glitches, not too fond of being an early-early adopter.
