Haven't been able to locate any availability (really shipping) dates in USA for the lenses. Does anyone know???

The bottom of the announcement says "early October."

I see you have the M3. What do you think? Have the M1 and am considering upgrading or going over to the Sony RX100 III or IV.

Yes, I have the M3.... ....much better than the M1!!!!! I also have the EVF that pairs with it (M3). The new M3 grip form factor makes the camera hold-able...even with a L lens attached. The articulating touchscreen is great as this was my biggest problem with the M1.... you couldn't use it in moderate/high daylight scenarios. Now you can and with the EVF, (ugly---& it looks like a add-on)...it is even better. M3 can be pushed to 3200 ISO ...whereas the M1 was lousy at 1600! Focus is much faster (even compared to the fix they gave the M1). I like the idea that it has a pop flash (only useful at very close range) as it can provide some additional illumination or fill flash without carrying around an additional ETX 90 or 270. I don't do videos.... so no comments here. Easy to pack and travel. M3 + 22 mm pancake = 1 Lb (453gms). Just ordered the 55-200 EOS M. So if i really want to travel light, I can have the M3 and 11 mm + lens out to 200 mm (~ 17mm-300 mm FF) for under 5 Lbs total weight including extra batteries/ filters/cards etc. Make a GREAT 2nd/backup camera set-up. You can put it in a fanny pack !
To be honest, I really don't like the M to EF adapter and since I have an SL1 (waiting for an SL2) I will switch between my M3 and the SL1 depending how many EF lenses I am planning to use.

On one hand, glad to see the M3 being officially imported.

On the other hand, US MSRP for just the body is 150$ higher than what Ebay-based Grey Market importers are charging for new M3's with the EVF and a full 280$ more than what new, boxed Grey Market M3 bodies are going for.

I know who I'll be buying from when I upgrade.
