In my opinion, the grey geese have now become too trusting from feeding.
Especially because I know that feeding bread to the chicks can lead to abnormal fast growth and irreparable deformities, e.g. of the wings.
Pic one is almost full sensor size, the pics of the dad are full size. All less than 3 m away.
Meanwhile, I hiss back when the gander hisses at me. But we get along ;)

Less than three miles? You must have a gigantic zoom lens :p

Sad indeed that, despite all the warnings, people don't refrain from feeding geese, ducks and other birds (with bread).
When you beg them not to do so, with luck you hear "it's so much fun for the kids", or worse, you get insulted...

Very nice close-ups, Maximilian.

I had a fraction of a second to get this shot as the female Peregrine Falcon flew between buildings carrying dinner for her chicks. I cropped off the wings to make it more of a portrait (R5 + 100-500mm).

A male European stonechat. He was very bold and stayed in place a while, which was handy because this was an instance where the long MFD of this lens was a problem - I thankfully had time to walk back to get him in focus.

R6, RF 800 f/11 + RF Extender 1.4x; 1120mm, 1/500sec, f/16, ISO 2000.
