AFAIK NFC is not good for transfer. Could anyone explain will we transfer 30-50Megabytish RAW files through 424 kbit/s bandwith? Or I got it all wrong?

What do you need NFC for on the 5DIV? Why, the Canon Connect Station CS100, of course. You do have a CS100, don't you? It has a full 1 TB of storage for all* your image and video storage needs.

:p

*All in this context means everything captured with a Canon device, which is what makes the CS100 such an amazingly unique and useful device.

NFC is used for peer handshake and initial acquisition, basically you tap your phone to the camera or the camera to the phone and the handshake is initiated.

it has nothing to do with the transfers.

saves you from having to do the passwords, connections, etc .. tap and go. that's why it's NFC *and* Wifi.

You will be able to use your 5D4 for mobile payment! 8)

Does this mean Canon will start charging a monthly fee like Adobe? Maybe it will be called CCC for Canon Creative Cloud. :)
Don't know, but it would likely be worth it. Imagine the looks when you take out your 5D4 (+ a big white) at check-out in the supermarket to pay with it.

That's actually a lot and saves a great deal of continuous aggravation getting wifi working.

Here's my dream scenario: pressing one button to sync the time on 2-3 cameras before beginning a shoot.

The 5DIV has built-in GPS, and that can be used to set the time on the camera based on the satellite signal. So, if all the cameras are set to automatically set the time based on GPS, they should all be in sync.

Isn't it nice when dreams come true?
