I received these specs today, they're nothing like anything I've received before. So I'm going to post them for fun.

EOS 3D Specifications
– Price: 3499
-27mp Foveon (?)
Foveon is property of Sigma, so that kills the spec list. Unless Canon has their own version.
– 5FPS
– 16bit (16 bit what?)
– BG-E9 Grip, uses 7D & 5D2 battery
– 7D Weathersealing
This one deserves a massive grain of salt like I said earlier.

Thanks for the link. So that should ashut up the Noink fanbois with their crazy claims about D3/D3s high ISO. Actually, even the 1D3 has better ISO 100-1600 than the D3, at higher ISOs the diff. was 2/3 of a stop at best.
Just divide by 3 for the true RGB sensel layout. So 9MP, supposedly. Not saying this rumor is credible.
Haven’t checked because test images are hard to find.

Sounds like you are saying if you “normalize” a squirrel to the size of a human, they have the same brain to body ratio, ergo the squirrel is just as intellegent as a human. Monty Python did a skit like that about a pinquin.
99% of photogs won’t go through a bunch of extra normalizing processes, and will just want to take photos with as good of results ‘out of the camera’ as possible.
The article you link to concludes: “the D3s is about 1 stop better than 1D4, in terms of noise. Other than that, the D3s has the fullframe sensor, that is a nice plus for landscape and reportage..” In all paractical views, he is correct, which isn’t surprising ’cause he’s a landscape photog.
