As already noted, they are not advertisements but large photos heading a news article. Its probably hard programmed into the page layout, there will be a large photo leading into each article.
All the photos are for the site articles but could be mistaken for ads.

As far as a nuclear reactor goes, I'll take your word for it as I don't think Canon will be adding one of those to their bodies just yet.![]()
I don't think even Canon expected the original M50 to perform as well as it did. From the sales, it appears they hit a sweet spot with that camera. Especially in its current price bracket. So in putting only small upgrades into the successor, but lowering its launch price significantly, they are going with a conservative upgrade that may allow them to maintain a nice profit margin and probably introduce future rebates.I used the m50 update as a sign of how seriously Canon is taking the M line.
It does indeed appear worthy. All the more if they shaved off 61mm and a third of a stop...This looks like a highly competent lens so far. I'm impressed, though I wish it cost south of $500. If it were $450, I would replace my 85/1.8 immediately.
At this point, the rumors swing both ways, to some extent colored by the bias of the rumor reporter. Canon is clearly putting their primary effort into the R line right now, which makes sense given the drop in the low end of the market. I do think one of the reasons we haven't seen a replacement yet for the M5 is power related. Clearly the DigicX has a lot more processing power per watt than the Digic8, but it may still be marginal in a full featured M body. However, given that the 8k feature would not be there, I suspect that an undervolted DigicX would be within an acceptable power budget, so we may be just looking at the time needed to stabilize yields and get enough volume in hand to address the M7 market (which I think would be quite large). There may also be a new sensor in development to address the now desired higher read speeds (as you pointed out above, the 90D doesn't do 4k/60), and the M7 may also be waiting on a couple of lenses to make it more attractive to the enthusiast market. All speculation, of course, but based on pretty straightforward reasoning. If the M7 is to functionally replace the 7D II, then it also should have a battery grip available both for longer battery life and to balance bigger lenses. My gut says we will get the answer within the next 6 months. In the meantime, enjoy your 7D IISome good points you made there. I still hope there will be an APS-C body. I remember a rumor of an Aps-C R body in the second half of 2021. If there will be no APS-C R body then I think I have to go for a M7. I hope that Canon at some point will push more effort towards high quality lenses for this system. And hopefully some third party like Sigma will keep making new lenses for EF-M. I wonder if the M7 as a flagship would be a slightly bigger body as well. If its a little bit bigger than my 200d, I would be happy. Hopefully we will see IBIS in the M7 as well..
What I don't like is the stories about killing the M line or something like keep selling the current bodies with kit lenses without any effort for new lenses. That would be appealing about an Aps c R body as this line seems to get all the R&D especially with lenses. The idea that I buy a nice camera in a dead system bothers me.
If C70 is a smaller C300 without RAW then those C50 specs would be a C200 without RAW.8-bit and clog 2/3. Nah. How are you ever going to pull a decent grade from that? All the competitors are doing 10-bit now. 8-Bit and no RAW can't be right. That is not a C line camera.
Heat exchangers in Nuclear reactors use heavy water to remove heat from core to external cooling ponds unlike have a fan recirculating heat in completely enclosed environment.
Is this a good deal for a body with lousy high ISO performance?
Completely wrong subdivisions, Samsung along with WD/Sandisk are the only 2 manfacturers(before Micron sold Lexar) who have their own fabs and can control the flash chips that go in their products also both have good experience of controllers as well. Their last SD cards were very good and were rated very well alongside Sandisks offerings of the day.I haven't had a good luck with there TV's, so quiet buying there products. Just mt 2 cents
I'm in the same boat, ordered 8/3 but still on backordered status. I emailed them asking why they sent out R5's to ppl who ordered in September but they insist that orders are filled in the order received. Meanwhile Adorama had R6's in stock briefly on Thursday morning so I ordered one and it arrived yesterday, debating on if I need the R5 anymore since I'm primarily a stills shooter and mostly portraits. I've always been a "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it" kind of guy, so yeah...any word from B&H?
I use a Canon G5X II for travel. It replaced my G7X II. I used a couple of the S series before that. They are relatively sophisticated cameras, giving you Raw files and allowing all sorts of controls. "Point and shoot" seems to underestimate them. But the little zoom rocker lever doesn't give you much fine control. That may be the least sophisticated part of the camera. I find it adequate for my travel pictures, though. You can use the ring around the lens for zooming if you set it up that way. On some models that gives you more control than others. Normally it will click to certain focal length equivalents. Zooming while shooting video needs more skill than I am likely to develop adequately.Granted I was using an Olympus not a Canon for this, but in hindsight I doubt any Canon at the time would have been significantly better. (I still have never owned a Canon point and shoot, however, so I could be totally wrong.)
How about this short review. After 16 DAYS shooting wildlife in YNP/GTNP, i have no regrets replacing my 1dx II with the R5 + 100-500 with a few cautionsI’ll likely wait for another reviewer. I just seen one on the R5 posted in this thread that was good. What I am after now is a proper written review and not another YouTube personality. Jared Polin can be entertaining, but he can also be a lot of work to watch as he uses a lot of tone shifts and he is dreadfully excitable.
I am not blown away with the 2x performance, so I just carry the Tamron 1.4x which seems to be pretty comparable in IQ to the Canon and it works over the full zoom range of the lens. This lens is in my 90D bag, so anything more than 1.4x is better served by cropping.Bryan at The-Digital-Picture says in his review of the 70-300 L that although it is not officially supported, due to physical clearance issues at shorter focal length, at about 250mm and longer focal lengths the 1.4X and 2X Canon extenders will, in fact, mount and the resulting image quality is very good.
Were they Dutch? We learn from a young age that rules are only for other people.
Adorama just ran out so.....?And B&H shows "New Item--Coming Soon!" (Exclamation mark is mine.)
So I wonder who I'd get it from first if ordering today?
