Or... almost like a 6D + 24-105 IS L + Tamron 150-600!
Let's see its Image Quality, Autofocus performance, ergonomics etc.
It could be a light and relatively cheap alternative to DSLR - or to small_sensor_superzoom_cameras - for safaris.

Hmm. With 1" sensor a 600mm f/5.6 lens would be rather big... not impossibly so, but still sounds a bit unlikely to me.
In any case I'd prefer bigger sensor with shorter zoom range, given the choice.

With 1:1 macro capability and accessory slide copier for fast copy of slides.
A scanner is very slow compare to a camera doing the same job and there is no compact camera on the market now for this task.

The rumors seem spot on except the ISO doesn't expand to 12800.
