I know Canon says the R6 Mark II in Mechanical is 12 FPS and they say Electronic is 40 FPS. But is there a FPS in between say 20? Didnt see anything posted.

While I was giving my gear a clean after a long trip I noticed my RF 100-500 had damage to the rear gasket, a small chunk of was missing. No idea how it happened. But this will likely cause the weather sealing to become compromised.

Has anyone have this happen to them? How much did the repair cost?

I don't want to start a bitch-fest, I just want an explanation as to why Canon UK charges upwards of 30% more for gear here than in the US and other areas of the world?

The RF 135mm is over £500 more expensive than the same lens in the US.

Looking for advice on a travel camera bag. Specifically one that can be carried on an airplane/put under a seat.

My Lowepro 120 sling bag worked fairly well in this regard, but is falling apart now. I like the idea of a sling bag but found it awkward when loaded with heavier gear and also found it hot, sat awkwardly etc. Its not bad, but looking to see any thoughts out there prior to buying.

would like to maximize space under an airplane seat, but also well comfort and protection for the camera (including rain). Would like to be able to attach a tripod or monopod etc to it as well and obviously carry spare stuff like batteries, chargers, cables etc.

I just returned from a trip to Texas where we had an unexpected opportunity to shoot hummingbirds on the property where we were staying. We used both the R7 and the R5.

Lots of rather hilarious pictures from the R7 of wing parts elongated and even, in some cases, just floating in mid-air unattached to the bird. (A fair number of good shots with both cameras though.) This got me wondering about something.

Intuitively, it would seem that the smaller sensor size of the R7 would mean less space for the shutter to travel and therefore less, rather than more, rolling shutter. But that obviously isn't the case. At the same time, the smaller sensor would logically mean less mechanical shutter noise. Yet, that isn't the case either.

I'm guessing that the crazy loud mechanical shutter of the R7 has to do with build quality (less money spent on dampening, etc.) but I don't know. But the rolling shutter is kind of a mystery to me. Anyone care to offer an explanation that a non-technical person can understand?

I'll go on a china trip tomorrow and was in need of a full frame reserve body. Did not want to spent to much money so I bought an EOS R (which here in Germany together with the 24-105 non L glas is currently sold cheaper than the R8, RP or R6 without any lenses)

Maybe I'm spoiled form my R7 but is it normal that the R Viewfinder goes dark for a considerable moment shortly after a picture is taken?
