If it wasn't for the new AF with 4K video and a few other items I'd be tempted towards the 5DSR but then I think how I'm presently not pleased with 4 1/2 fps and after reading the Canon link piece maybe frustration with the file sizes would ensue so .......... Maybe I'll wait for the 1DXSR @ 28 MP - just kidding, September is a deadline.
I'm not nuts about the weight but now the 6D feels like I'm only gripping half a camera. Hiking with the 1D4 was OK so I guess weight won't be a major issue with me. So, I think the senior moment has passed.

Jack, if the idea of 5DSR file sizes has you balking don't even dream of shooting 4K video, 4K 60p is running 5.6GB per minute!
Great shot and a great example of the qualities of this camera.Grant Atkinson said:Great shots by Eldar, Keith Brezeal, Arbitrage and Scyrene with the 5DS/R..
I have posted an image taken with the 5DSR of lions in Kenya, after sunset, when ambient light was pretty low, and little contrast left. Image was taken with the EF 500L f4 IS ii, 1/250sec at f4.0, Iso 3200 in raw. Processed in LR with light sharpening, warming tones, brightening subject. Only noise reduction done in LR to the lions eyes. No noise reduction on the background at all. No cropping. Downsized to 1500 pixels on the long edge for this post.
Cheers
