5D mkiii release date guesses

I've been lurking for a long time, but the latest rumors about an imminent announcement for the 5D mkiii are simply too good to be true *IMHO*. My guess is very much in line with the wisdom of this site, and it is based on Canon's previous release dates. Announcement in September, release date in November.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong and it comes sooner!

What is your guess? Once the product is out, it'll be interesting to see how close or far off we were.

Announcement in August/September with availability in November/December. I'll be adding it to my gear in early 2012 - no rush for me. Still have some more pennies to save.

Hmm. Again I'm rather pessimistic, so I think we'll see an increase. Probably a suggested retail price of $3200 (body only), with BH and Adorama dropping the price to $3050 or $3100 by early 2012. Hopefully I'm way off and Canon keeps it around $2700 / $2800.
