Here’s hoping that there is at least one big white DO in this group. Don’t want to wait till the next sporting event.

That 600 f 4 DO prototype with the type of image quality of the 400 DO2 would fill the bill.

Then canon could get to work on a 800mm f 5.6 or wider DO, and maybe a 400mm f 2.8 DO to bitch slap Sony and their new lighter 400.

And no I did not say with built in TC.

Then we’ll talk about insolvency....

Cranking up for Photokina this year.
I'm pretty sure they will steal the show from everybody else.

Really doubt that. Any possibly FF mirrorless ILC Canon will offer will disappoint because it won't 'top' a Sony spec sheet. People have been hammering Canon (and Nikon, in fairness) for not having FF mirrorless, and pretty soon they will pivot to hammering Canon for offering one that isn't sexy enough.

Canon doesn't steal shows anymore. They simply unveil the next thing you are going to buy. 8)

I have real mixed feelings about mirrorless after using my little Olympus a little. It could just be that I'm not very familiar with it and that it is so tiny feeling in the hand. I like the tactile feedback of a DSLR. It will be interesting to see what Canon does in the FF mirrorless arena. Really hoping it won't put an end to the DSLR, in particular, the 5D Series.

Haha, speak for yourself! I can't imagine what Canon could release that would entice me to buy. Anything they do is following the leader (tech wise, not sales wise) at this point and you can quote me on this - it WILL be intentionally crippled to some degree so as to not affect sales of the higher up models.

Blah, Blah, Blah. If nothing Canon would release would entice you to buy, what on earth are you doing on a Canon forum? Of course, the answer is obvious. At least if you are going to troll, you should come up with something more original than using the term "cripple." You do understand that every company DIFFERENTIATES between models at different price points. Or maybe you don't.....

This is a mad flurry from Canon -- seems out of character for them.

Any chance some of these products are not production ready, and Canon is just lumping all this stuff together to keep certification costs down?

I wonder if it is a group of full frame mirrorless lenses to launch along side the first full frame mirrorless offering. If it isn't EF mount, they'll likely want some native lenses to be available on day 1.

Trolls gotta troll. If they were smart and original they would have a life.

Or put another way, you might date Sony but you'll take Canon home to meet the folks.

If it's a thinner than EF mount, I'd expect 1-3 thin mount lenses right out of the gate (alongside the EF adaptor). A small f/4 zoom and a 'quick' smaller prime (think 35 f/2 or possibly a new pancake) immediately come to mind.
